Insights Programmes

NMG’s Insights Programmes primarily serve two distinct industry groups. Providers utilise the programmes as a consulting tool to drive strategy and business capability and to track changes in competitive positioning and demand. Their clients, our research partners, gain a collective voice (on industry topics and the quality of provider propositions) and the benefits of a transparent feedback loop between clients, providers and broader industry stakeholders.

The programmes are designed to deliver competitive advantage to providers through robust and objective analysis. Each programme is based on an annual cycle of structured interviews with key clients to examine segment attractiveness, competitive dynamics, buyer values and company performance. Because the programmes focus on important and influential clients, and on the quality factors that ultimately drive changes in their business allocations, Insights Programmes provide a lead indicator of competitive success.

Providers participate in our Insights Programmes directly or indirectly through our Insights Programmes practice or indirectly through our strategy consulting practice. The programmes allow providers (reinsurers, insurers, platforms and asset managers) to:

  • Obtain objective market data/evidence to support strategic decision making
  • Understand business placement drivers to support ‘offer’ design and delivery focus
  • Gain forward indicators of competitive success based on segment trends, buyer values, lead competitors
  • Measure performance and assess strengths/weaknesses in relationship management and service
  • Examine segment and individual key account feedback to refine distribution strategy
